Verified ReviewerMy system is 3 weeks old and been broke down 2 of the 3 weeks
Replaced my cheaper Goodman heat pump that was only 8 years old for this new top of the line Trane, and its been broken down on the heat pump side since installing iti will work on emergency heat but freezes up on heat pump. Took 6 days to diagnose and get part in this past week now 1 day later its down again, seem to always go down on Friday evening with no service till Monday the no parts until theyre order then waiting 2 or 3 days to get parts, then 1 1/2 day later its down again
- Pro big name
- Not as dependable as my cheaper brand
Preferred solution: Fix it
User's recommendation: Don’t wast your money on overpriced Trane, they’re just as junky as the cheap Goodman and harder to get parts for
Help on the way
Phone staff friendly and courteous. Answered my request promptly.
Maintenance person arrived on time and fixed my problem.
Very courteous. Thanks

Verified ReviewerUnit doesn’t function properly!
Mechanical failure! Blower motor replacement, low pressure or no pressure causing auxiliary heat to turn on making electrical bills skyrocket!
Evaporator bad needs replacement? Under factory warranty but labor costs is as much as the part itself?
Cant afford to repair or replace!! This is a split system heat pump 4 ton unit!
User's recommendation: Think about other options before buying?
It’s hard to start a TRANE when tech support won’t call back.
I had to call and call several different numbers before getting to someone who could connect me to tech support. The.
They told me approximately 1 hour wait. After 2 hours I left with no call back.

Installed a new Trane furnace and AC. The furnace blower motor is very loud and vibrating a lot.
I can hear the don don sound everywhere inside the house. Trane would not allow to replace it under warranty as they said it has to be visually damaged in order for warranty.
I think the item is definitely defective and should be covered under warranty. Otherwise, why the loud voice?

Verified ReviewerVery disappointed customer
Customer service representative was awesome. Never should have had to make a call in the first place had my unit been made right to begin with.
Your machine had a manufacturing defect and Im responsible for paying to have it fixed, thats not why I spent thousands more for a Trane unit. Very disappointing
Waiting for a part from 2 months. No air in a very hot house.
Very poor customer service. How long does it take to ship one part?
I'm still waiting on the part. We just had a very, very hot month and with no air
User's recommendation: If you don't want air than purchase a trane air conditioner

Verified ReviewerOil question they didn't have access nor did they know anything about trane products. Sent me to a dealer to ask tech questions. Funny how trane repa don't know Trane products.
I don't see how your customer support and tech support has no idea what oil is shipped in a new replacement compressor. I assumed it was mineral and replaced it with poe. A better lubricant for any refrigerant
User's recommendation: Assume they know nothing
4 Compressor in 4 years
This unit was bought new four years ago in that time ii have had to pay for service calls to replace 3 compressors and my power bill increase by 3x. Now its still not repaired and trade told the service company that they are not going to replace anything else even though there is a 10 year parts warranty
User's recommendation: Don’t buy this junk
Pair new device with thermostat
Agent Sherri was great, professional, friendly , efficient. I needed to pair my new device to Trane thermostat. Sherri walked me through the process quickly and thoroughly with patience.

I do NOT recommend Trane!
We recently purchased a whole new heating/ac system because our Trane system -- which was only about 3 years old -- kept needing thousands of dollars of repairs. It became much more cost-effective for us to simply replace the Trane with a more reliable system.
Ruud and Amana, to name two options, offered better performance.
Also, be aware that repairing your Trane often means a long wait for parts. Honestly, we are disgusted with Trane.
User's recommendation: Trane is not a good value.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Lousy Trane Contractor
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
After the installer of this system provided false information and shoddy work forcing him to come back twice To Cochise work.
After told that a years supply of filters were provided with the system and having to request these filters twice after installation.
After opening the box of filters now to change the one in the furnace and finding that the replacements are the wrong size.
And after being promised for six consecutive days that the correct filters would be delivered and still no receipt.
After offering to pick up the filters myself, and being told that I dont need to.
Today there was a firm scheduled appointment for a technician to deliver these filters around mid-morning . It is now the end of the day and no one has come or called.
I am cautioning all to beware of Precision Air sales and services.
With all of this aggravation there has never been a gesture of remorse or consideration For all of my trouble.
Prior to the acquisition of 5 Star Heating and Air, by Precision, a customer would have never experienced these things.
I will be blogging and posting my experiences here and in other places online and possibly with the BBB.
If this is the treatment you get with buying an expensive HVAC system, what happens when you need service?
Trane used to insist on good contractor experience.
User's recommendation: Stay away from certain Trane contractors
Late on part shipment
Ordered part 10 days ago, supposed to be here 3 to 5 days. Then another 2 to 3 days, now found out that part never left Trane to be shipped to me the little company.
I'm not one of their big companies who get their parts in bulk. How ridiculous
User's recommendation: Try another brand

Verified ReviewerPoor materials used in build
The unit this came out of was $8175.00 installed 9/2022. Today the coil had to be replaced because of either build quality or materials quality. See photo.
User's recommendation: Steer clear until they learn to use better quality and thicker materials

Verified Buyer |Defective Products
I purchased a new a/c unit in 2022. It came with a 10 year warranty.
In 2024 the outer coil started leaking and needed to be replaced.
Trane says the part won't be available for 5-7 weeks. WEEKS.
As of 7-31-2024 I am on day 11 of no a/c in 110+ degree temperatures.
Trane customer service is incredibly slow to respond and so far has been completely unhelpful.

Verified BuyerAnother failure; slow and expensive service
I own heat pumps from Florida Heat Pumps (GSHP, 16 years now, no failures); Bryant (ASHP, 10 years, had a temp sensor failure after ~8 years), Mitsubishi (ASHP, 5 years, no failures), and Trane (XV18 ASHP, less than 4 years, two failures). It hasn't been difficult to stop this Trane.
Worse yet, the only local Trane dealer charges $350 per hour to fix it, and the latest repair was delayed for weeks while the new part sat in their shop until I loudly complained. The only reason to give them any stars was that the initial install was very quick and done well.
User's recommendation: Avoid Trane

I am running into the same situation, and their dealer gave me an estimate saying it is cheaper to repair the coil rather than file a warranty claim for the Trane manufacturer defect. This is a scam to try and reduce the number of complaints filed vs Trane for this defect. They have yet to respond to my complaint after collecting all information.
